Founded in 1924, FORDS is the world's leading supplier of Capping Presses and have supplied over 10,000 machines to 76 countries. FORDS are widely known for their expertise in sealing and closure technology both to machine builders and to end users alike.

FORDS Packaging Systems Limited was formed in June 1998 following a successful management buy-out by 5 former Directors of the company who, together with venture capital funding from equity partner Elderstreet Downing VCT plc, have created a new company having total equity funding of £650,000.

FORDS' own products include capping presses, stacking presses, and rotary or linear sealers, induction or conduction, all of which are designed and manufactured at the company's modern factory premises at Kempston, near Bedford, England.


FORDS is also the exclusive distributors for the UK and Eire for: -

MEURER range of 'end-of-line' packaging machinery including case packers and erectors, tray packers and erectors, stretchwrappers, shrinkwrappers, and palletisers; -

TRANSVER range of belt bends, cassette conveyors, horizontal and vertical diverter conveyors, pullnose conveyors, row aligners as well as complete conveying and handling lines.

ICA range of vertical form fill and seal machines, bag making and bag filling machines including normal and modified atmosphere packs and vacuum packs and the AROMA SYSTEM degassing valves.


In addition to the above, FORDS has agreements with other suppliers covering pouch making and pouch filling machines, and cartonners and overwrappers.

FORDS prides itself on its strong reputation for quality and service and has a dedicated team providing around-the-clock service support for all its products. The Customer Care team works closely with customers to develop maintenance and service programmes and operator training courses to ensure maximum reliability and efficiency of its machines and total customer satisfaction.
