The new FORDS high-speed capping presses offer the most comprehensive range of models and features for making and applying aluminium foil caps to bottles and containers. Presses are built in Single, Twin and Triple versions providing outputs up to 700 bottles per minute (higher speeds available upon request) and can produce caps with or without tabs in sizes up to 110 mm diameter.

FORDS presses are available in freestanding (FS), shaft driven (SD) and motor driven (MD) versions. FORDS can also offer a range of options designed to improve the operational efficiency and performance of the press. These include synchroprint, auto splice with dual reel control, special tooling for dry foil applications, UV sterilisation, carousel cap storage systems plus many others.

FORDS stacking presses are designed to produce flat or recessed diaphragms and are available in Single, Twin and Quad Tool models for speeds from 12,000 to 50,000 per hour.

The popular Mk5 Twin Tool model has a maximum operational speed of 24,000 closures per hour for a maximum diameter of 80mm with a tab. As an alternative to the twin tool application, the Mk5 can be quickly retooled for a single tool operation to blank closures up to 150mm dia. or shapes not exceeding 150mm x 150mm.

Foil embossing and power unwind comes as standard with all FORDS machines. Optional features include synchroprint.
