Training courses designed for maintenance engineers covering all aspects of the Fords Capping Press.

Most maintenance engineers today are required to be experts on a wide range of equipment without having the necessary training.

This knowledge gap can leave both engineers and their employers vulnerable to prolonged production downtime if the equipment is not set up or adjusted correctly.

This course is designed to give delegates sufficient training to be able to identify problems and apply preventative or corrective action.

This course has been designed specifically for maintenance engineers who want to have a deeper knowledge and understanding of their Fords Capping Press.

PROGRAMME CONTENT

  • Brief discussion on the theoretical operation of the Fords Capping Press
  • Points of interest and general method & procedures
  • Dismantling of Reel Control, Feed System, Rewind and associated assemblies
  • Correct removal of Tool Unit
  • Correct maintenance & cleaning of the Tool Unit
  • Principles of delayed Ejection System
  • Removal & cleaning of Former assembly
  • Re-assembly of the Press with the focus on correct setting procedures
  • Re-assembly of the Tool Unit prior to installing in the Press
  • Correct installation & set up of the Tool Unit in the Press
  • General setting up of the Press prior to running & correct method of adjustment
  • Setting up of Chute System and Cap Applier
  • Fine tuning of Cap Chute Delivery System
  • Run the Press in a simulated production environment
  • Individual assessment of course knowledge achieved
