Tool Unit Refurbishment
Fords understand the need for customers to maintain existing machinery; therefore we provide a hassle free Tool Unit refurbishment procedure. Further to receiving your Tool Unit, our Technicians will produce a detailed Inspection Report of their findings; including general recommendations and a list of parts required to completely refurbish your unit. A copy of this inspection report is then supplied with our quotation.

New Spare Tool Unit
Fords can supply Spare Tool Units to retro fit within your current installation which will manufacture caps of one size (current specification) and will be supplied fully assembled and pre-lubricated by our experience and highly skilled Tool Unit Technicians. The Tool Unit is manufactured to original specifications including Main Carrier Sleeve, Punch Carrier Unit, Guide Rail and Pin and Tooling Set (Punch, Die, Former and Pressure Ring) to ensure continuity between Tool Units.
Tool Unit and Chute Upgrade
Fords can upgrade your existing press machine to accept new and improved bottle or container designs to attract and benefit your customer base. Upon receiving your new bottle or container drawing we will propose a new cap design to suite and provide you with a quotation for the upgrade requirements. On the majority of occasions this will consist of a new Tool Unit and Chute assembly (if required) to produce and transport the new cap.
Dry Foil Tooling
This system enables non lubricated foil to be utilised in the Press Tool Unit area without any major degrading of Tool Life and is of significant importance within aseptic type environments where foil lubrication is not permitted.
